Silk is one of the most worthwhile purchases in China. From scarves to qipao, from bedding to undergarments, Chinese silk offers far more variety than you'd imagine.

去哪里买丝绸 | Where to Buy Silk

杭州 — 首选。中国丝绸城（杭州体育场路）有上百家丝绸店铺，批发价零售。万事利、凯喜雅等品牌的旗舰店也在杭州。中国丝绸博物馆免费参观后在馆内商店购买品质最有保障。

Hangzhou — top choice. China Silk City (Tiyuchang Road) has hundreds of silk shops at wholesale prices. Flagship stores of brands like Wensli and Cathaya are here too. Visit the free China National Silk Museum, then shop at its on-site store for guaranteed quality.

苏州 — 苏绣加丝绸，双倍文化含量。观前街和十全街有丝绸专卖店。苏州丝绸博物馆可以看到从蚕到丝的全过程。

Suzhou — Su embroidery plus silk means double the cultural value. Guanqian Street and Shiquan Street have silk specialty shops. The Suzhou Silk Museum shows the entire journey from silkworm to silk.

热门丝绸单品 | Popular Silk Items

丝巾/围巾 — 最受欢迎的伴手礼。真丝丝巾轻薄、光泽好、不起静电。杭州品牌100-500元，同等品质国际品牌要贵5-10倍。

Silk scarves — the most popular souvenir. Real silk is lightweight, lustrous, and static-free. Hangzhou brands cost ¥100-500; international brands of comparable quality are 5-10x more expensive.

真丝睡衣 — 亲肤透气，夏天穿凉爽、冬天穿保暖。200-800元一套。穿过真丝睡衣的人都说"回不去了"。

Silk pajamas — breathable and skin-friendly, cool in summer and warm in winter. ¥200-800 per set. Everyone who's worn silk pajamas says "there's no going back."

蚕丝被 — 轻如云朵、冬暖夏凉。一条好的蚕丝被1000-3000元，可以用十年以上。体积大不好带，让店家发快递。

Silk quilts — light as clouds, warm in winter and cool in summer. A quality silk quilt costs ¥1,000-3,000 and lasts over 10 years. Bulky to carry — have the shop ship it.

辨别真假丝绸 | Identifying Real vs Fake Silk

触感测试 — 真丝摸起来凉爽光滑有"沙沙"的手感；化纤摸起来涩、有静电。

Touch test — real silk feels cool, smooth, with a subtle "rustling" texture; synthetic feels rough with static.

价格底线 — 一条真丝丝巾低于80元基本是假的。真丝面料成本摆在那里，太便宜的不可能是真品。

Price floor — a silk scarf under ¥80 is almost certainly fake. Real silk has a production cost floor — anything too cheap can't be genuine.

小贴士 | Tips: 真丝制品不能用洗衣机洗，手洗用中性洗涤剂、阴干。买的时候问店家要洗涤说明卡。 Silk products can't be machine-washed — hand wash with neutral detergent, dry in shade. Ask the shop for care instruction cards.
